This dreamy piece is hand thrown on the potter's wheel in pigmented pink porcelain, then brushed with a brighter hue of pink clay slip throughout. An opalescent glaze is applied for the finish. As a result, this piece captures the fleeting beauty of a pink sky at sunset with dips of opalescent glaze at the base. The bottom portion is left unglazed to reveal the natural texture of clay.
This piece is discounted due to some chipping on the bottom of the bowl. Not visible unless it is upside down. Please see last photo for reference.
